- For H. pylori eradication (along with lansoprazole/amoxicillin, omeprazole/amoxicillin, or omeprazole): the dose is 500 mg every 8 or 12 hours for 10 to 14 days.
- For pediatric patients the dose of clarithromycin is 15 mg/kg/day divided every 12 hours for 10 days.
- For Mycobacterial Infections the dose of clarithromycin tablets is 500 mg every 12 hours; clarithromycin tablets 7.5 mg/kg up to 500 mg every 12 hours in pediatric patients.
Side Effects: Side effects of clarithromycin tablets for both adult and pediatric patients are diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, dysgeusia and nausea.
